NOW HIRING: Physical Therapist ***New grads are welcome to apply!***

Telemedicine visits available! **Call for an appointment**

Do I need a referral for physical therapy?

In general, if we are billing your insurance, then yes. If you are paying privately, then no. However there are exceptions, so it is best to check.

How many patients do you see at one time?

Each of our therapists treats patients one-on-one with individual attention to meet your specific needs.

Will I have the same therapist? Can I switch?

We try to schedule all your appointments with the same PT, but will occasionally ask if you would be willing to see an alternate PT. You may switch therapists if you choose.

What happens at my first visit?

Your first visit will consist of intake paperwork, an initial evaluation with your physical therapist, and then a brief initial treatment – often in the form of suggested activities or movements to try at home.

What do I need for my first visit?

·   Please bring your referral (unless we have it), your insurance cards, and a photo ID.

·   Please wear clothing in which you can easily move and which allows your PT to see the area being evaluated.

Do I have to come early?

We try to keep the paperwork to a minimum, but we do have to comply with insurance and legal standards. You will need to arrive 15-20 minutes prior to your evaluation to complete the intake documents.  If you prefer, you can download the paperwork from our website and complete ahead of time.

Can my spouse/partner accompany me into the visit?

You may choose to have someone with you for all or part of your appointment.

What is included in an evaluation?
  • Your PT will ask about your current problems including their intensity, aggravating factors, and how they impact your daily activities. Your PT will observe how you are moving, including your range of motion, and will assess the need for muscle testing, neurological screening, or any other special tests.
  • Your PT will listen to your goals for physical therapy and discuss treatment options including frequency and duration of treatment, as well as home exercises, and long-term maintenance.
Do you take my insurance?

We are in-network providers for Medicare, most BC/BS plans and the VA. We can also work with United Healthcare, Aetna, and Cigna as Out-of-Network providers. Please check with your insurer to verify your benefits.

What will physical therapy cost?
  • For our cash-pay clients we charge $120 for an evaluation, and $100 for subsequent treatment sessions.
  • For those with insurance, we can supply our most commonly used codes, along with an estimate of which codes we will use in a visit, but your insurance company is the only one that knows your plan’s allowable charges.
I called my insurance company and they said my visit would be covered, but I just received a bill from you. Why is this?

A covered visit means that it is included in your benefit, but who pays is dependent on your specific plan – including your deductible. When calling your insurance company, be sure to specifically ask them if they are going to pay for a visit, or if the allowed amount will be applied to your deductible or coinsurance amounts.

What is your cancellation policy?
  • A minimum of 24 hour’s notice is preferred.
  • There is no charge for your first cancellation of less than 24 hours.
  • For subsequent cancellations of less than 24 hrs – including no-shows, we reserve the right to charge $75 per occurrence.
